Dogliani

Before leaving Barolo, we suggest you take a walk through the renowned old town in the Langhe area; as soon as you reach the castle, in its dominant position overlooking the village, it is possible to visit Wi.Mu.
The Wine Museum, located inside the manor, allowing you to finish the tour by tasting some wine in the Enoteca Regionale del Barolo, the Regional Wine Cellar of Barolo. We also suggest that you visit the distinguishing “Museo del Cavatappi” (The Corkscrew Museum), that with more than 500 examples of corkscrews, from the most ancient, dated back to 1600, to today’s most modern examples.
So, starting from Barolo, take via 25 Aprile and go on in the direction of Novello passing through the village of San Grato. In Pallaretta, turn right and follow the street signs for Moncherio, along the course of the Tanaro river. As soon as you arrive in Borgonuovo Basso, go straight on in the direction of Dogliani, crossing via Torino and turn right until you reach the centre of the village. Park the car and take a walk along the streets of the Middle Age village: take the narrow streets that will lead you to Piazza Carlo Alberto, stop in Piazza San Paolo for a visit at the Giuseppe Gabetti Historical Archaeological Museum, that gathers archaeological and paleontological finds coming from the territory and dated back from the Neolithic to the Bronze and Iron Age, Roman age and Middle Ages.Dogliani In Piazza San Paolo, you will also find the Bottega del Vino Dolcetto di Dogliani, a shop where you can taste the best labels of the local producers.
As soon as you complete the amazing tour of Dogliani, jump in the car, follow the street signs for Alba – passing trough Monforte – and return to Barolo to conclude the Itinerary of the Dogliani area!!
